The Silver Spring, Md.-based association represents public government labs that monitor and detect public health threats. Members include state health departments, public hospitals, and other laboratories at the state, territory, county and city levels.

The two-year grant is authorized under the HITECH Act. The funds will support technical assistance to labs. More information is available at aphl.org.
