Google Inc. also will support the migration to HealthVault of applications that third-party developers have created for Google Health. Additional information is available here.
Google announced in June that it would discontinue Google Health on Jan. 1, 2012, although records will remain available until Jan. 1, 2013. To transfer personal health information, consumers can select the "Send profile to another service" option in the Download menu of Google Health. If the destination is HealthVault, Google will send a consumer's Google Health profile to HealthVault as an encrypted message using the Direct Project messaging standards.
