Research firm ECRI Institute is inviting health care organizations to participate in an online survey to gauge the industry's readiness to exchange health information.

ECRI and S2A Consulting have developed a list of 10 major indicators which they feel are critical issues representative of an organization's readiness. Among other factors, the survey will measure whether an organization routinely receives laboratory results from its clinical information systems, prioritizes clinical conditions that require electronic exchange, and uses information technology systems to analyze and manage population health data.

Organizations completing the survey will gain better understanding of their own readiness and contribute data to overall results, according to the firm. ECRI will publish aggregated results in early summer and participants can request a copy while completing the survey. Click here to access the survey.
