PatientKeeper Inc., a vendor of software to access health information systems via mobile computing devices, has raised $7.5 million in a new round of private funding.
New investor Flybridge Capital Partners joined existing investors Frazier Healthcare Ventures, New Enterprise Associates and Whitney & Co. in the round.
Eyeing increased research and development efforts, Boston-based PatientKeeper will use the funds to expand operations. The company in the past year signed contracts with 77-hospital Catholic Health Initiatives in Denver and Hospital Corporation of America in Nashville, Tenn., which has 168 hospitals.
