Toronto Hospital to Encrypt Laptops

Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto will install full-disk encryption software on more than 200 laptop computers that clinicians, researchers and staff members use.
The 472-bed facility will use the SecureDoc application of WinMagic Inc., headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario, with a U.S. office in Wilmington, Del.

A central management console within the software simplifies network security administration and the setting and enforcement of data security policies, says Prateek Dwivedi, CIO at Mount Sinai Hospital.
