Elections Settle HL7’s Board

Standards development organization Health Level Seven International recently announced new elections to its board of directors.


Standards development organization Health Level Seven International recently announced new elections to its board of directors.

Catherine Chronaki, an HL7 Greece board member, was reelected as an affiliated director. Jill Kaufman, director of personalized healthcare services at the College of American Pathologists, won reelection to another term as a director.

Edward Hammond, professor emeritus at Duke University, is ending a term as vice chair and ran and won election as a director. Keith Boone, lead interoperability systems designer in GE Healthcare's integrated I.T. solutions unit, was newly elected as a director.

HL7 also announced the election of Donald Mon, vice president of practice leadership at the American Health Information Management Association, as chair-elect for 2011. That means he will serve as chair during 2012-2013.
