Prince George’s County Health Department in Maryland is implementing electronic health records software and personal health records software in its 25 clinics providing women’s health, epidemiology, or mental health services.

The department is using the WebChart electronic records software of Medical Informatics Engineering in Fort Wayne, Ind., and the PHR of NoMoreClipboard, which MIE owns. The PHR is an extension of the HER, enabling physicians to view additional patient information and electronically communicate with patients.

The health department has 30 physicians serving nearly 13,000 patients.
