CMS to Discuss Stage 2 Meaningful Use Rule

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services will hold a National Provider Call on March 12 to explain the proposed rule for Stage 2 of the electronic health records meaningful use program and take questions.

The 90-minute call starts at 12:30 p.m. Eastern. CMS officials will cover the extension of Stage 1, changes to some Stage 1 criteria in 2013, proposed Medicaid policies, an overview of Stage 2 criteria including clinical quality measures, and Medicare payment adjustments (penalties) and exceptions.

The call is free but registration is required before Noon on March 12 at this site. The presentation for the call also is now or soon available.
