Benefits Vendor Adds Assessment Tool

Health care benefits management software vendor Benefitfocus Inc. has introduced an online personal health assessment tool that employers can offer to employees.

The application enables employees to complete an online survey and receive a health profile report. The report, which can be printed, offers recommendations for improving health and reducing risk factors.

Employers also receive aggregate reports on the risks their employees face. A report, for instance, can tell an employer the percentage of employees at high risk for obesity or alcohol abuse.

The application also can manage financial incentive programs for employees who complete the survey or meet specific health-related criteria, according to the Charleston, S.C.-based vendor. More information is available at benefitfocus.com.
