Emdeon Inc., a vendor of revenue cycle management software and services and operator of the nation's largest claims clearinghouse, will use provider data management software from Enclarity Inc., Aliso Viejo, Calif.

Nashville, Tenn.-based Emdeon will offer to its payer clients Enclarity's Master Provider Referential Database. The application has more than 140 million records on 6.5 million providers, as well as data analytics capabilities.

Improving the accuracy of provider information increases the percentage of claims that insurers can auto-adjudicate. Emdeon also has made a minority equity investment in Enclarity.

More information is available at emdeon.com and enclarity.com.
