The acquisition is a small one--Williamsburg, Va.-based PMA only has about 20 ED clients in the mid-Atlantic region--but represents T-Systems’ entrance into the billing, coding and collections arena. The Dallas-based company has about 1,400 EDs documenting care on its paper templates and 300 EDs using its emergency department information system. PMA supports departments running on paper or information systems.
