DocbookMD, a physician-run mobile health technology company based in Austin, Texas has reached an agreement with the California Medical Association to expand an existing relationship with counties to become the CMA’s preferred provider of HIPAA-secure text messaging for its 39,000 members.

DocbookMD says its technology helps physicians, hospitals and groups exchange patient related messages including images directly from the point of care; find and quickly communicate with healthcare professionals in the community by name or specialty; expedite urgent X-ray reports from radiology; receive urgent notifications and answering service messages directly to their smartphone; and coordinate care across the health system.
