Adapx has introduced digital pen technology that automatically loads handwriting into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or the Microsoft OneNote digital notebook application.
The Seattle-based company has a pilot project under way with one electronic health records vendor to use the Capturx technology as a data entry option. Holland America Lines uses the technology to create electronic medical records for passengers on its cruise ships. In addition, the U.S. Army is using the pen in conjunction with electronic records.
