Alpharetta, Ga.-based HealthPort has introduced a new module to expedite the processing of denied claims and other inter-departmental requests within a provider organization.

The ROI-QuickLink application captures remittance advice information from the vendor's revenue cycle management system. The application identifies denial codes requiring additional records and sends a request to the health information management department. Staff working on denials also can request records directly from the revenue cycle management system.

ROI-QuickLink also can assist in managing the release of information process, according to the vendor. All requests using the application are tracked to aid in accounting for disclosures as required under the HIPAA privacy rule.

More information is available at healthport.com.
