Virtua, a four-hospital delivery system serving southern New Jersey, will offer free personal health records software to all residents of its three-county service area, regardless of whether they are treated at Virtua facilities.

The delivery system is offering the PHR and accompanying collection of non-electronic health information, document imaging and structured data extraction services of Zweena LLC, a start-up vendor in Skillman, N.J. While offering its own PHR, the company also has partnered with Microsoft HealthVault to enable consumers to use its services to add additional information originating from non-electronic media into their HealthVault accounts.

More information on Zweena including its pricing structure, which ranges from $49.95 to $499 per year, is available at zweenahealth.com. New Jersey residents of Gloucester, Camden and Burlington counties can register for Virtua's free offer on the site.
