The region's hospital association in September 2010 contracted with HealthBridge, an established health information exchange in Cincinnati, to provide connectivity in Dayton. HealthBridge now supports HIEs in five regions.
The Dayton network expects all nine hospitals in the region to join and to have more than 80 percent of physicians linked by the end of 2012.
