Community hospital information systems vendor Computer Programs and Systems has for a dozen years also offered consulting services. Now, it has launched a new company, TruBridge LLC, as the consulting subsidiary of CPSI.

The vendor started with business management services such as transactions processing and moved into other areas of I.T. outsourcing such as revenue cycle, clinical, and information technology consulting. More than 90 percent of clients utilize an additional service, according to CPSI.

Formation of TruBridge was a logical step to expand access to consulting services to a broad market beyond its software client base, says Boyd Douglas, CEO of CPSI. Chris Fowler, previously vice president of the business management services division, now is president of TruBridge.
