UMass Memorial Health Care and Bethesda Healthcare System will implement Soarian information systems from Siemens Healthcare, Malvern, Pa.

Worcester, Mass.-based UMass, with more than 1,100 beds in five hospitals, will deploy the vendor's Soarian Clinicals, Financials and Quality Measures data mining applications. The seven-year contract significantly expands Siemens' business with the delivery system as HealthAlliance Hospital already is a Soarian showcase client.

Boynton Beach, Fla.-based Bethesda Healthcare has been a Siemens client for 25 years. It is upgrading to the Soarian Clinicals, Critical Care, Emergency Department, Quality Measures and Patient Identification Check applications. More information is available at siemens.com/healthcare.
