Lakewood, Colo.-based Healthagen, operator of a Web platform called iTriage that gives consumers access to medical information and a nationwide directory of providers, has acquired AppointmentCity.com LLC for an undisclosed sum.
Atlanta-based AppointmentCity.com has software that lists available appointments of physicians and specialists in a consumer's area, and enables the Web-based booking of appointments via a computer, iPhone or iPad.
Triage enables consumers to research and select providers within their geographic region and get directions, as well as offering nurse advice lines and emergency room wait times. The acquisition will accelerate growth of iTriage by integrating appointment scheduling with other services, says Healthagen CEO Peter Hudson, M.D.
