Hospital Deploys PACS, Document Mgmt.

Garden City (Mich.) Hospital recently went live with a number of new information technology applications with implementation and development services from CareTech Solutions, a Troy, Mich.-based consulting firm.

The hospital is using a picture archiving and communications system from AMICAS Inc., Boston, as well as a Web-based developed document imaging and management system that CareTech developed.

The firm also redesigned the hospital’s Web site, which now supports patient and class pre-registration, patient “e-greeting” cards, a physician finder, a job site, and an online medical equipment store.
