The eHealthConnecticut Regional Extension Center has deemed 41 ambulatory electronic health records products as qualified and meeting standards of the REC and the state's emerging health information exchange.

The REC on its Web site lists each vendor and product, contact information, whether the vendor has more than 100 customers with more than 20 in Connecticut, and whether the product is remotely hosted or client/server. Many of the vendors' responses to the REC's request for information also are posted.

The organization received a $5.7 million grant under the HITECH Act to assist at least 2,300 physicians over four years to becoming meaningful EHR users, including more than 1,300 "priority" primary care physicians during the next two years that work in small practices or treat underserved populations. The EHR vendor list is posted at ehealthconnecticut.org/REC/EHRVendorInformation.aspx.
