Concerro Acquires Scheduling Rival

Concerro Inc., a vendor of staff scheduling software for hospitals, has acquired RES-Q Healthcare Systems of Calabasas, Calif., which sells complementary applications. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.


Concerro Inc., a vendor of staff scheduling software for hospitals, has acquired RES-Q Healthcare Systems of Calabasas, Calif., which sells complementary applications. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

RES-Q Healthcare's staff/nurse scheduling software was named the market segment leader in vendor research firm KLAS Enterprises' 2009 Best in KLAS listings in December. Michael Meisel, president of RES-Q, has joined Concerro as vice president of product management and marketing. Concerro will retain all RES-Q employees and continue to support the product line.

San Diego-based Concerro's vendor-hosted resource management and scheduling applications enable employees to view and request available open shifts, manage incentive programs to reward staff working certain shifts, and automate communications with external staffing agencies. The company also sells incident and pandemic management information systems.
