CR System Designed for Clinics

Konica Minolta Medical Imaging USA has introduced a simplified computed radiography system for physician offices.

The ImagePilot CR is designed to enable any office performing more than eight diagnostic procedures a day to convert from film-based imaging systems to a digital system, according to the Wayne, N.J.-based vendor.

The new system uses image-processing technology that eliminates the need for users to select and define algorithms--based on the density value of the anatomy being imaged--for each body part and orientation. This makes it easier to learn and use the system, according to the vendor.

Konica Minolta announced the product at the annual meeting of the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine, May 15-18 in Seattle. More information is available at medical.konicaminolta.us.
