The Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise interoperability initiative is accepting public comment on an implementation guide to simplify access to health documents for patients and providers using mobile devices.
The Mobile Access to Health Documents implementation guide will support delivering documents to a device using a patient portal, electronic health record, personal health record or health information exchange, according to IHE.
The guide is designed for home health and health monitoring devices, patient kiosks, PHR applications, and other patient or provider applications enabling access to or submission of medical history data.
The implementation guide is here and public comments, accepted through July 5, can be submitted here.
