Salt Lake City-based 3M Health Information Systems has introduced computer-assisted coding software.
The Codefinder Computer-Assisted Edition application analyzes text from multiple documentation sources during a patients stay, including electronic records and dictated and transcribed reports. The application then suggests appropriate codes to coders and identifies missing documentation, such as a diagnosis.
The application integrates with the vendors dictation, transcription and speech recognition software. More information is available at 3mhis.com.
