The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services will host a national provider call on March 29 to explain to eligible professionals the basics of the Medicare and Medicaid electronic health records meaningful use incentive programs.

CMS reminds EPs that 2012 is the last year to begin the Medicare meaningful use program and receive full incentive payments. The 90-minute event is free and starts at 3 p.m. Eastern, but registration is required.

Topics to be covered include eligibility determination, available incentives and how they are calculated, getting started, major milestones for participation and payment, reporting meaningful use, finding helpful resources, and Q&A.
