CMS Extends MU Appeals Deadline

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has extended until April 30 the deadline for eligible professionals to files appeals under Medicare’s electronic health records meaningful use program.

An appeal enables a provider to demonstrate that all meaningful use requirements were met and the provider should have received an incentive payment but did not because of circumstances beyond the provider’s control. More information on the appeals process is available here.
