CMS Dashboard Makes Medicare Chronic Conditions Data Available

A new dashboard from CMS makes available government data on the prevalence of multiple chronic conditions that many Medicare beneficiaries have, the services they require and how much Medicare spends on chronic treatments.

A new dashboard from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services makes available government data on the prevalence of multiple chronic conditions that many Medicare beneficiaries have, the services they require and how much Medicare spends on chronic treatments.

The Medicare Chronic Conditions Dashboard is available for providers, policy makers, public health agencies and researchers. Among other services, aggregate, non-identifiable data in the dashboard can help CMS and stakeholders identify states and populations that demonstrate success in chronic care management, according to the agency.

Data in the dashboard comes from CMS’ Chronic Conditions Data Warehouse.  The dashboard is available here, with additional charts, statistics and research reports here.
