Changes at HIMSS Analytics
The HIMSS Analytics database and business intelligence unit of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society has partnered with consulting firm The Advisory Board Company to develop research services for health care executives and information technology leaders.
The HIMSS Analytics database and business intelligence unit of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society has partnered with consulting firm The Advisory Board Company to develop research services for health care executives and information technology leaders.
David Garets, president and CEO at HIMSS Analytics, and executive vice president Mike Davis will leave the organization at the end of March to join Washington-based The Advisory Board and lead the partnership. Chicago-based HIMSS will initiate a search for new leadership at the analytics unit.
The partnership will combine HIMSS Analytics' I.T. knowledge and comparative database of hospitals' utilization of I.T. systems with The Advisory Board's expertise in clinical and operational best practices, according to the firms. The goal is to help hospitals and delivery systems increase physician adoption and meaningful use of I.T.
