Cerner Gets More Tenet Business
Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare Corp. will significantly expand its use of the Millennium electronic health records system of Cerner Corp., Kansas City, Mo.
Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare Corp. will significantly expand its use of the Millennium electronic health records system of Cerner Corp., Kansas City, Mo.
Fourteen Tenet hospitals already use Millennium and 33 others will adopt it under the new contract. Once implemented, 47 of Tenet's 49 hospitals will use Millennium; the remaining two will stay with their existing EHR, which was not identified.
In addition to the core electronic records system from Kansas City, Mo.-based Cerner, the 33 hospitals also will implement a number of ancillary systems. They include computerized physician order entry, laboratory, critical care, pharmacy, nursing and physician documentation, and data analytics and reporting systems.
