The Certification Commission for Health Information Technology has named members of new workgroups to develop criteria for electronic health records for women’s health and oncology.


The Certification Commission for Health Information Technology has named members of new workgroups to develop criteria for electronic health records for women's health and oncology.

Co-chairs of the Women's Health workgroup are Jan Kriebs, director of midwifery and assistant professor at University of Maryland School of Medicine; and Michael McCoy, M.D., chief medical information officer at Catholic Health East.

Co-chairs of the Oncology workgroup are Pawan Goyal, M.D., chief medical officer at Hewlett Packard Federal Healthcare; and Peter Yu, M.D., director of cancer research at Palo Alto Medical Foundation.

The workgroups will hold their first meetings on July 14 in Chicago and hope to have certification programs available by next spring. Click here for the full roster of both workgroups.
