The case studies demonstrate real-world successes in applying change management and process improvement tools as a prelude to health I.T. implementation, says Joseph Fortuna, M.D., chair-elect of the health care division of the American Society for Quality. The studies serve as "real-world examples for those endeavoring to become 'meaningful users,'" he adds.
Other organizations involved in the program include the Joint Commission, National Committee for Quality Assurance and National Quality Forum.
