Casenet Enhances Payer Software

Casenet Inc., Bedford, Mass., has introduced version 3.0 of its care management software for payers that enables users to simultaneously collaborate, coordinate and manage care.

Enhanced functions include: graphically based reporting, including filtering tools that enable users to sift through large data sets. These accompany integrated care management, disease management and utilization management functions. As a result of this integration, for example, a disease manager can be documenting information while in the patient’s home while a utilization review nurse is approving outpatient use of durable medical equipment, the company says.

The application also provides functionality during an Internet access outage, auto-synchronizing and updating entries when the user reconnects.
