Blues Plan to Enhance Care Management

Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield has signed a perpetual license for care management software from The TriZetto Group Inc., Newport Beach, Calif.

The Little Rock-based insurer will integrate the Clinical CareAdvance software with three legacy information systems to collect diagnostic, pharmacy, laboratory and utilization data. The software uses clinical algorithms to identify members for targeted intervention programs.

The application also will enable the insurer to automate several manual care management processes. More information is available at trizetto.com.
