Newton, Mass.-based Proventys is automating the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology and making them available via a Web-based application called Proventys CDS Oncology, available in the fourth quarter. The application also will offer real-time alerts of significant updates to the guidelines. The National Comprehensive Cancer Network comprises 21 cancer centers collaborating to improve the quality and effectiveness of care.
The application initially will include guidelines for breast, colon and non-small cell lung cancers, as well as Hodgkin lymphoma. Proventys will market to clinicians and to insurers wishing to offer the guidelines through their quality programs.
More information is available at proventys.com and nccn.org.
