Netsmart Technologies Inc. has introduced software designed to enable organizations using its behavioral health information systems to share information with other providers.
The Great River, N.Y.-based vendor's Connect suite is designed to integrate with its practice management, program management and electronic health records systems. It includes applications for mobile data synchronization, electronic data interchange-based payer data submission and a consumer Web portal.
Clinicians can use the software to share information, including referrals, discharge summaries and medication records, with other organizations involved in their patient's care. They also can use it to communicate with patients. Organizations also can use the software to submit billing information to multiple payers in a single transmission and to enable patients to schedule appointments and review and comment on their treatment plans.
