Duke Adopts Bed Management


March 28, 2008

Durham, N.C.-based Duke University Health System will deploy bed management software across its three-hospital delivery system.

Duke has licensed the Patient Flow Platform software of Premise Corp., Farmington, Conn. The platform includes patient transport management to further reduce bed turnover time. The delivery system had several extensive site visits to other academic and multi-facility organizations before selecting the vendor, according to Kevin Sowers, R.N., COO at Duke University Hospital.
