Englewood, Colo.-based Baxa Corp. has launched a medication tracking system designed for use within provider organizations.

The vendor's MedBoard application uses scanners and bar code technology to track medications from when they are prepared in the pharmacy to when they are dispensed to the patient.

The Web-based system also displays order status and identifies time-sensitive orders to help improve workflow and reduce time spent searching for such information.

The system also includes reports to enable pharmacy managers to demonstrate performance by delivery times, order type, nursing unit or other parameters. For more information, go to baxa.com.
