The Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange has scheduled the second in a series of educational audiocasts about the forthcoming HIPAA electronic claims attachment standards. Reston, Va.-based WEDI is an industry advocacy organization.
The 90-minute program on May 29 will cover how the standards work; how they relate to other HIPAA standards and to the Health Level Seven Clinical Document Architecture; and how implementation specifications are laid out. The program also will address the use of LOINC codes and possible paths to compliance.
Content is designed for providers, payers, technology partners and anyone responsible for implementing the attachments standards.
Speakers include leaders of the standards development organizations that created the standards. Registration is available at http://wedi.org.
