GE Buys RFID Vendor

GE Healthcare has acquired Agility Healthcare Solutions, vendor of a Web-based, wireless asset tracking system using radio frequency identification technology.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The AgileTrac system of Glen Allen, Va.-based Agility enables hospitals to track people and equipment. Agility will become part of Waukesha, Wis.-based GE Healthcare's global Diagnostic Imaging Services business unit.
