Healthvision Closes Canadian Firm Buy

Dallas-based Healthvision has closed its acquisition of most of the assets of provider software firm MediSolution Ltd. in Quebec.

Terms of the buy, which expands Healthvision’s footprint in the Canadian market and adds 300 customers, were not disclosed. The acquisition does not include MediSolution’s blood bank or research product lines.

Healthvision sells health information exchange platforms and integration services, including the Cloverleaf interface engine. It also resells ambulatory electronic health records software.

MediSolutions serves hospitals and ambulatory practices. Its products include enterprise electronic health records systems and departmental systems for laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, pediatrics and mental health. The company also sells physician administrative software, financial and budget management systems, and an enterprise master patient index application.
