Practice Management Firm Buys EHR

Physician practice management software vendor Clinix Medical Information Services has acquired an electronic health records system company.

The Nashville, Tenn.-based vendor bought MedicWare Inc. of Irwindale, Calif. Acquisition terms were not disclosed.

The practice management and EHR applications are remotely hosted via the application service provider computing model. More information is available at medicware.com and clinixmis.com.
