Ancillary Vendor Adds to Portfolio

Blood bank and transfusion management software vendor Global Med Technologies Inc. has acquired a donor relationship management software vendor.

Denver-based Global Med paid $3.5 million in cash and $1.5 million in stock for Phoenix-based eDonor. Its software supports such processes as donor recruitment, scheduling, retention and fulfillment. With the acquisition, Global Med now has 13 applications for donor centers and hospitals.

Global Med also will market eDonor’s software internationally through its Inlog S.A. subsidiary in Lyon, France, which it acquired in June. In 2007, eDonor had net income of $337,000 on revenue of $3.3 million. The American Red Cross is among its clients.
