The buy enables API Healthcare to expand its customer base to critical access hospitals, retail clinics, long-term care facilities and home health, among other environments.
Concerro’s product line covers such functions as scheduling for nurses and staff, open shift management, tracking of licensing and credentialing, matching patient acuity with appropriate staffing levels, and an emergency management system. Hartford, Wis.-based API will retain Concerro’s San Diego office.
API Healthcare is a portfolio company of investment firm Francisco Partners, which received an offer in 2011 from multi-industry staffing firm Kronos to acquire API. That deal fell through following a revolt by API customers.
