Based in Lake Mary, Fla., the health care unit sells free standing kiosks and wireless tablet computer for patients to self-register upon check-in, complete forms, schedule future appointments and make credit card payments. The unit also sells a patient Web portal to pre-register, check in and pay bills.
The acquisition is a logical extension of QuadraMed’s patient access and identity management software products, says CEO Duncan James. The products include enterprise scheduling, patient portals, master patient index management and maintenance, and patient identity verification applications.
NCR has signed a reseller agreement with QuadraMed to provide hardware and other devices.
