Contractor ManTech Enters Health Care via Evolvent Acquisition

Government information technology contractor ManTech International Corp. has entered the health I.T. arena with an acquisition of fellow contractor Evolvent Technologies Inc. of Herndon, Va. Terms of the buy were not disclosed.

Evolvent offers a range of services including EHR/PHR deployment integration and maintenance; data warehouse and analytics, telemedicine services, selecting and implementing medical imaging systems, and I.T. security. Its clients include the Departments of Health and Human Services, Defense and Veterans Affairs.

Fairfax, Va.-based ManTech’s 1,000 contracts span multiple departments of the federal government with such services as cyber security and computer forensics, a counter-intrusion laboratory, systems engineering and integration, and software development.

ManTech expects the acquisition will contribute to increased earnings during 2012. More information is available at mantech.com and evolvent.com.
