Cerner Corp. will acquire Anasazi Software, vendor of a comprehensive information system for community behavioral health organizations, for an undisclosed sum. The companies expect the acquisition to close during November.

Cerner’s Millennium hospital information system includes an inpatient behavioral health component. Now, it will pick up an ambulatory system that includes electronic health records, practice management, electronic prescribing and financial, human resources and assessment/treatment planning modules. All of Tempe, Ariz.-based Anasazi’s software has been developed in-house.

The acquisition will enable Cerner to offer a complete behavioral health package supported with data analytics and predictive modeling to improve outcomes. More information is available at anasazisoftware.com.
