The Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission is seeking public comment on new criteria for five accreditation programs.
EHNAC is an industry-created organization that accredits health care transactions processors for meeting quality criteria in such areas as privacy and confidentiality, technical performance, customer service, business practices, resources and data security.
The commission is requesting comment on upgraded criteria for its Healthcare Network and e-Prescribing accreditation programs. It also wants comments on first versions of criteria for the Financial Services and Financial Services Lockbox programs. EHNAC also seeks comments on initial criteria for an expanded Healthcare Network program to ensure an organization's general I.T. controls support preparation of financial audits.
The criteria and more information on the Farmington, Conn.-based organization are available at ehnac.org.
