EMH Regional Picks Soarian

Two-hospital EMH Regional Healthcare System in Elyria, Ohio, will implement the Soarian clinical and financial information systems from Siemens Healthcare, Malvern, Pa.

The delivery system will integrate Soarian with existing information systems to create an enterprisewide electronic health record that will include care from all clinical disciplines, including dietary services.

Under the multi-million dollar contract, EMH Regional also will implement the vendor’s physician Web portal to enable remote access to patient data. Implementation of the clinical system will start in the third quarter of 2009, with implementation of financial applications starting in early 2010.
