Minn. HIE Adds PreferredOne

PreferredOne, a multi-state regional PPO, HMO and TPA based in Golden Valley, Minn., has joined the statewide Minnesota Health Information Exchange.

PreferredOne serves 1,400 employer groups with 192,000 members. The exchange has nearly 4 million residents in its patient directory and presently offers medication histories. It will expand services this fall to offer eligibility information, lab reports, and immunization histories, among other information.

Sponsors of the Minnesota Health Information Exchange include BlueCross BlueShield of Minnesota, Fairview Health Services, HealthPartners, Medica, UCare and the Minnesota Department of Human Services.

PreferredOne is not a sponsor of the HIE, but is a subscriber that will use its services and contribute data. More information is available at mnhie.org.
